Fareb is considered as one of the thriller movies made in Bollywood film industry. Basically, it is an emotional thriller with a punch of twisted love story. It also shows an unholy obsession throughout the film. There are three major characters in the thriller movie, Fareb. These three characters are enacted by Manoj Bajpai, Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty. In this film, Manoj Bajpai played the role of a creative director in an Ad-agency and Shilpa Shetty was Manoj's wife who played the role of a medical practitioner. On the other hand, Shamita Shetty played the role of a client of Manoj's Ad-agency.
As a thriller movie, Fareb got much-admiration from the audience and the entire credit goes to the efficient director of this film, Deepak Tijori. After a long break, Deepak made Fareb and the success of Fareb again proved the directorial ability of Deepak Tijori. Though this film did not offer any innovation to the audience, but the treatment of this film was really innovative so that audience glued to their seats till the last frame of the film.
In Fareb, Manoj depicts the role of a family man who loves as well as cares his wife and son. The story shows a twist when, audience get to know that, Shamita falls in love with Manoj who runs an Ad-agency. Despite the fact that Shamita has an attraction towards Manoj, he doesn't admit this fact. But Shamita becomes desperate to achieve Manoj's attraction. This situation creates a disagreement between Manoj and his family.
On the whole, Fareb is a love triangle though the director of this film has given a new dimension to the film. However it is a normal love story but it is also treated by the murder mystery that revolves around the three major characters of the film.
The well-written screenplay of Fareb binds its audience and it also helps the director to prove his talent of direction. On the contrary, the first half of Fareb builds the environment of suspense and throughout the second half it reveals or unfolds that suspense. Amongst the actors of Fareb, Manoj Bajpai does not require any creditable expressions since he has performed the lead role in this film and he knows excellently the grammar of the acting. Shilpa Shetty also perfectly enacts the responsive character of Manoj's wife. Moreover, Shamita Shetty has proven her talents through this film as she has delivered a mature performance by this film. This is all about the film, Fareb.
