The Zee Cine Awards is one of the most prestigious Awards in Bollywood in India. The Zee Cine Awards ceremony was held for the first time in Mumbai in the year 1998. From the very first ceremony, Zee Cine Awards became much popular among the people who are interested to know About Bollywood. At present, the Zee Cine Awards is quite substantially popular among the massive portion of the whole Indian population.
In the year 2004, the Zee Cine Awards or the ZCA ran international. That year the Zee Cine Awards ceremony was held in Dubai. In the next years the Zee Cine Awards ceremonies were held in London and Mauritius respectively. The Zee Cine Awards ceremony of this year (2007) was held on the 1st April in Malaysia.
The Zee Cine Awards often changes its sponsors. For the initial three years, the sponsor was Lux. For the years of 2003 and 2004, the sponsor was Fair View. In the next four years the sponsors were Pan Parag, Sunfeast, LIC and Aditya Birla Group respectively.
The Zee Cine Awards offers awards generally in three categories. The categories are Viewer's Choice, Jury's Choice and Technical Awards. In addition to these Zee Cine Awards, there are some special Zee Cine Awards like Best Contribution to Indian Cinema, Golden Grade Award, Forever Diva Award, Special Recognition Award and the Fun Cinema Entertainer of the year. The list of the Technical Awards includes Best Art Direction, Best Choreography, Best Cinematography, Best Costumes, Best Editing, Best film Processing and many other awards. The Viewer's Choice Awards are Best Film Award, Best Director Award, Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award, Best Track of the Year Award. Awards like Best Playback Singer( male and female), Best Debut (male and female), Best Music Director award, Best Supporting Actor Award and Best Supporting Actress Award are included under the Jury's Choice.
